Hi, I’m Kym, welcome to my blog 🙂
Here is a quick word about me and how I found yoga…
Yoga…my love for yoga began when I joined a pregnancy yoga class, I loved the practice but I really only saw it as an exercise class. After my pregnancy, I joined a regular yoga class, I loved the exercise part of it but it was then that I realised it was much more than just an exercise class; it was about meditation through movement, it was about joining the mind, body and soul…something I had never even thought about before. I read books and attended lots of workshops and classes, I discovered more about the eight limbs of yoga…there is so, so much more to yoga than the asanas (postures) and I was absolutely hooked.
I was attending three classes a week and had a regular home practice so I decided to apply for a yoga teacher training course, mainly for personal development; I had no set goals for the end of the course.
After my love for yoga grew, so did my love for mediation. I started with guided meditations (which I still do) and then I gradually became better at meditating on my own. I love just taking five minutes whenever I need it to shut off my thinking brain and let the thoughts just float on by. It takes time and practice but it’s definitely worth it!
A few years on and I’m now a fully qualified yoga teacher. I studied Hatha yoga with Santosha Yoga Training School (200hrs diploma). I also studied online with Sadie Nardini in Vinyasa flow and completed level 1 and level 2 in the The Art of Yin with Grace Tempary. I’ve done courses in yoga anatomy, meditation, and pranayama. I just love learning and going deeper into all aspects of yoga. I love all styles of yoga and sharing my passion for it.
Crystals…oh, I just love crystals!! I have them all around me, there really is a crystal for everything! I have completed level one and level two in Healing Crystals and I sold crystals for one of the largest crystal companies in the UK. I love using crystals during my home yoga practice and meditation so I thought why not share my crystal blogs on here too.
And finally….books. I love reading, I’m not much of a fiction fan; I love reading about yoga, crystals, meditation and spiritual books including self-improvement books….check out my books section in my blog for reviews (and more!).
I hope my posts are interesting and of some benefit to you. If you would like to let me know what you think of my website, I’d love to hear from you…feel free to get in touch 🙂
